The R.M. Dhariwal Foundation believes that it is our responsibility to do everything we can to protect the environment. The Foundation focuses on maintaining a balance between economic growth and ecological sustainability through initiatives such as

One tree on an average produces between 80 to 100 kg oxygen everyday which is enough for four people. Each tree absorbs 10 to 40 kg of CO₂, depending on the size and type of tree. There will be a  balance in the Environment only when we save mature trees and continue to plant saplings.

Development is necessary. However, whether its construction of roads, commercial or residential projects, existing mature trees get cut invariably. Its an irrecoverable loss. Saving these trees and transplanting them is our aim.

We have already transplanted over 2100 mature trees in and around Pune Ring Road, Mundhva, Ghorpadi, B. G. Shirke Road etc.

The transplanting and maintenance of trees aged 15 to 50 years along the proposed ring road & many other places in Pune has started. Replanting of more than 2100+ trees has been completed and counting.

How You Can Contribute

By adopting trees from their transplantation stage for a period of two years in order for their chances of survival to be close to 100%.

By offering your premise for trees that are being transplanted and looking after them once they are transplanted.

By creating awareness and adding like minded people to the movement.

On the 75th birthday of Shri Rasiklal M. Dhariwal, over 1 lakh trees were planted across multiple cities in 4 Indian states, under the leadership of Mrs. Shobha R. Dhariwal.

The Foundation continues to carry out tree plantation drives in schools, colleges, hospitals, social and religious centers, and along highways. One unique and widely appreciated initiative was the planting of one mango and one coconut tree per household in small villages.

Importantly, the Foundation ensures that these trees not only get planted but also thrive—by setting up drip irrigation systems to support their growth.
